B Dear Liu Kai,

The first thing you must remember is that people in England drive on the left side of the road!

In England, there are several ways to cross a busy road. It is safer to cross using a subway, a footbridge. If you cannot find any of these crossings, choose a very straight place on the road where you can see cars coming from left and right. You can also look for a pelican crossing (自控人行道). At the pelican crossing, you will see a black-and- white pole ( 杆 ). There is a button on the pole. Press the button to tell the cars that you want to cross the road. At first, you will see a red man in the light on the pole. This means you cannot cross the road. Then the red man will change into a green man. This means you can walk across the road safely.

If you take the bus in England, you might have to pay the bus driver as you get on the bus. Only buses in the city centre in London have a conductor (售票员). If you take a taxi, make sure you have enough money because it is expensive. London taxis are black and very comfortable. The drivers take a special exam about London before they become

taxi drivers. So, they always know where they are going.

The London Underground is the biggest underground train system in the world, so make sure you get on the right train. Many people make mistakes. They think they are going to the city centre, but they end up at the airport!

See you soon. William

C Traditional museums didn't see it as a threat( 威胁)when the Museum of Ice Cream opened in New York in 2016. After all, as a “pop-up museum” ( 快闪博物馆), it only stayed open there for a month.

However, as more of these pop-up museums started showing up over the next two years, they seemed to become more and more popular. And the latest member to join this list is the Museum of Pizza, set to open in New York this October for two weeks.

It seems that museums are no longer just places to “see” art. In traditional museums, people can only stand far away from works of art, but in these pop-up museums people try more interactive activities. For example, the Museum of Ice Cream is now open in the US city of Miami. There, visitors can jump into a pool of plastic sprinkles (糖屑). And at the Museum of Pizza, people can lie on a “pizza beach” to enjoy a “wave of cheese”.

These wonderful pop-up museums let visitors get away from their real life-even just for a while and enter a fantasy world.

Everyone enjoys feeling close to art, so we hope pop-up museums will not only keep “popping up”, but also stay open.

51. Which of the following is NOT true about the Museum of Ice Cream? A. It is different from a traditional museum. B. It was only open in New York for a month. C. You can't visit it now in any of the US cities.

D. Visitors can jump into a pool of plastic sprinkles in this museum. 52. What can you do in traditional museums?

A. Eat nice ice creams. B. Lie on a “pizza beach”. C. Enjoy a “wave of cheese”.

D. Watch the works of art from a polite distance (距离). 53. Why do people like pop-up museums?

A. Because they can enjoy feeling close to art. B. Because they can try more interactive activities.

C. Because they can go into a fantasy world and get away from real life. D. All of above.

54. What does the word “interactive” in Paragraph 3 mean?

A. 互动的 C. 静止的

B. 短暂的 D. 真实的

55. According to the last paragraph, how does the writer feel about pop-up museums?

A. Pop-up museums are not good for everyone. B. He doesn't think pop-up museums need to stay open. C. Pop-up museums will not become more and more popular. D. He hopes pop-up museums will be open for a longer time.
