Objectives

Listening to information about how lottery winners usually spend their money and

Language Focus 数词

数词有两种。表示数目多少的数词称为基数词

, 表示先后顺序的数词称为序数词。

1— 19

的英语序数词除 1— 3 有特殊形式外,其余均由基数词 (5, 8, 9, 12 略有变化 )加后缀

-th 构成 ; 20 以上整十的序数词先将其基数词的词尾 ty 中的 y 变为 i, 然后加后缀 -eth。

Lexical Preparation

1. champion n. person, team, animal, etc. taking the first place in a

1. Look at the expressions. Put them in the right order to form the beginning of a telephone conversation.

2. You are a local celebrity. Rani Williams is going to phone you to arrange an interview. Look at your diary to see when you are free.

Student-centered approach

Student-centered learning requires students to be active, responsible participants in their own learning. Instead of lecturing through the whole class, the teacher akest students interests into account, follows their passions, capitalizes on their strengths and helps students form a strong learning community.

Task-based approach

The main aim of this approach to learning is task completion. Usually, relevant and interesting tasks are set by the teacher and students are expected to draw on their pre-existing knowledge of English to complete the task.
