Today,I’m happy to be here with you to talk about the Environmental protection. My topic is“The better environment,The better life”.As we all know ,We only have one earth. It is the only planet we can live on . So each of us should love it and take good care of it .But unfortunately , many people these days are doing harm to the environment. Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world. Wherever we go , we can find rubbish was carelessly disposed. Too many cars make noise and give off poisonous gas.The air is not as fresh as before. Trees on the hills have been cut down. The waste water is being poured into river.So you see, pollution is threatening our existence.Now, it’s time for each of us to protect the environment. But what can we do to protect the environment? For example, we can go to school on foot or by bike.we can refuse to use plastic bags when

we go shopping. We can put the rubbish into garbage can when we see it.We can recycle pa-pe-r,bottles,and plastic. So you see,it’s so easy to protect the environment.The earth is like our mother,she provides us with fresh air,clean water and comfortable environment. But now, our mother is getting injured. I’m very proud that I can give a speech to you all today.When I was young,I lived in a beautiful countryside.There were many flowers and trees.In the morning,I could hear the birds singing.The air was very fresh, the water in the river was so clean and clear,the street was clean and tidy.How nice it is!But now,the environment around us is getting worse and worse .In some places ,we can’t see fish swimming in the river , we can’t see any trees on the hills. The air is not fresh any more. The waste water from factories is being poured into river .Our homeland is getting injured.As a

student,we should do something to protect the environment..But what can we do? For example，We can go to school on foot or by bike . When we go shopping,we can use shopping baskets instead of plastic bags and we can use both sides of the pa-pe-r when we write . We can recycle pa-pe-r,bottles,and plastic.we can put up more “Don’t litter” signs.We can pick up garbage when we see it.There are many things we can do to protect the environment.Ladies and gentlemen,Now, it’s time for all of us to protect the environment.
