It is a bit cold and dry. a bit意为“有一点”，常用来修饰形容词、副词以及动词，充当状语。 e.g. The trousers are a bit tight. 这条裤子有点紧。 注：a bit 和a little的区别：
① 在肯定句中修饰动词、形容词、副词、和比较级时可以互换，表示“一点儿” e.g. These boxes are a bit/ a little heavy.
He is feeling ___________________________________.他感觉好些了。
② 在否定句中意思相反。not a bit相当于not at all; not a little相当于very much e.g. She is not a bit tired.= She is not __________ ___________ ___________. She isn’t a little tired. = She is __________ ___________. ③ a little 可以直接做定语修饰名词，而a bit则要在后面加of构成短语才能做定语，
两者都只修饰不可数名词。

Feeding birds
Feeding birds is full of fun．There are many types of feeders(鸟食罐)and each will attract(吸引)different birds．The bird seeds(种子)and food you put in the feeders will also decide which birds will come to your feeders．
Wild birds eat more than bird seeds! A lot more! Most wild birds don’t eat seeds. The reason why these birds will not come to your feeders is that they like eating live insects or fish or something else．To attract hummingbirds(蜂鸟)，add one cup of sugar to the food．Do not add red coloring to the water．The hummingbird feeder can be red-hummers are attracted to anything red!
We should provide them with clean fresh water at all times．During winter，water is often frozen (冰冻的)．During summer，drinking and bathing water is important for birds．
It is best to provide food all year round．February and August are especially important，when natural grass and fruit-bearing trees are growing and birds are nesting．During the winter months，it is often difficult for birds and wildlife to find suitable food．
