Dear Editor-in-Chief,
Congratulations on the 5th anniversary of Global Mirror! Being a loyal reader of your newspaper for as long as 4 years, I benefit so much from the content and I owe my success in English to it. Its advantages have an edge over others¡¯ in the following aspects. First, its combination of domestic and foreign news keeps me informed of what happens anytime and is enough for me to keep pace with the times. In addition, many successful people¡¯s stories are told which have a strong impression on readers and inspire them to overcome whatever difficulty they will meet with in their life.
Personally, it would be perfect if more articles about English study are published. As you know, many readers want to improve their English with the help of English newspaper, so why not have a try? Sincerely yours, Li Hua

Dear Mr. Headmaster,
I am Li Yue, a student from Class 1, Senior 2. I am writing to express my astonishment at such unfavorable phenomenon as scribbling and littering rubbish, and put forward my suggestions about it.
Needless to say, scribbling and littering casually will surely ruin the environment of the campus. No one would feel comfortable when faced with a wall covered with ugly patterns and dirty words every day, let alone a world filled with rubbish.
Here are my pieces of advice. What comes first is that more practical and strict rules should be set and carried out seriously by school. Then, students themselves shall raise the awareness of responsibility and observe the restrictions in their daily life. Last but not least, we should do a complete cleaning on campus to have a neat start. Yours faithfully, Li Yue

Good morning, everyone,
I am Li Hua from Xingguang Middle School. The topic of my speech is ¡°Let¡¯s Ride Bicycles¡±. As is known to us all, there is an increasing number of cars on roads. We can now drive to work, to go shopping, to visit friends and even to travel across the country. Though they bring about great convenience, cars also go hand in hand with air pollution as well as traffic jams.
How to solve these problems is a great challenge to everyone. My suggestion is that we should ride bicycles. There is no doubt that riding bicycles can surely do us good. Firstly, riding bicycles means using cars less, which is a good way to decrease traffic jams. Secondly, riding bikes is environmentally friendly, that is, it doesn¡¯t cause air pollution and is beneficial to our health. What¡¯s more, bicycles are so handy and convenient that you can go wherever you like and do not need to look for a large parking lot.
Since there are so many advantages, why not join us and ride bicycles? Thank you!

I have a book, whose name is The Call of the Wild. I bought it in Xinhua book store, which cost me 30 Yuan. The book, whose cover is black and green, contains 300 copies. Having read the story for more than three times, I am always touched by the dog¡¯s experience and characters. From the dog Bark¡¯s growth, I realize that each living being was born to adapt to nature, including wild and competition. Since I want to read another work written by Jack London, I would like to exchange this book for another book called White Fang by Jack London. If anybody is willing to exchange the book with me, please contact me on 1871234567 or Email me at 1234567@qq.com. I¡¯d appreciate it if we can share books together. They look really beautiful in the shape of a diamond, about 5 inches long and 4 inches wide. In China, these knots stand for friendship, love and good luck. People can either give them as gifts to friends or hang them in their house. They are only 12.99 US dollars each. If anyone wants to know were about the knots, let them write to me. Also, do let me know if you need further information. Thank you!

Good afternoon, my dear friends.
My name is Li Jin. Today I am very glad to have the chance to run for the vice president of the English Club. Concerning the position of vice president of the English Club, I feel qualified to take the job. First, I have gained a lot of experience and received wide praise from my classmates for my job as monitor. Second, I am a warm-hearted boy and always ready to help others. Third, I am good at organizing activities and have held a number of English corners and discussions.
Looking into the future, I will try my best to assist the president and serve my fellow students if I am lucky enough to be the vice president. My plan is as follows: on the one hand, I will organize some campus activities, like \Evening\invite some famous professors to give lectures for our students so that we can acquire a lot of knowledge. On the other hand, I will organize more activities to enhance the interschool communication. We can compete with students from other universities in debate contests or speech contests. Moreover, I will open more channels for you to voice your When I do my homework, I often make mistakes with carelessness, how to overcome the shortage? I think I should think about it over and over as long as I do my homework. And then I do it little by little. Maybe in this way I can correct my mistakes.

The Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th of the eighth month of our Chinese lunar calendar. As one of the traditional Chinese festivals, it has been enjoying great popularity in our country. Usually, no matter how far away or how busy we are, we will try to come home for the celebration. The moon that night looks the brightest in the whole lunar month. What we love most is the time we enjoy the full moon together. With the beautiful moon up in the sky, we sit together and eat moon cakes and fruit, sharing our stories. In addition to these traditional activities, we have a wider range of choices such as travelling and visiting our relatives or friends. 10. 2013ÄêËÄ´¨¾í

It¡¯s useful and necessary to discuss learning habits. As we all know, good learning habits can make your study go to succeed. As a student, we should pay more attentions to our habits which we develop in our study.
I am sure ¡°repeat¡± is a best habit. Do you develop the habit? If we want to improve our study, we should repeat what the teachers taught us again and again, and then we can understand or remember the knowledge which the teachers demand us to master. How to develop the habit? The first step, set a timetable, and stick to carry out the plan, don¡¯t stop.

The weather in fall is very pleasant. It is neither too hot nor too cold, and neither too dry nor too humid. The temperature here is at about 20 centigrade. Moreover, the food in Tianjin is delicious, including the Eight Great Bowls and the Four Great Stews. I am sure you will enjoy them.
Our class is a very warm family. There are 55 students in our class, containing 30 boys and 25 girls. You will find it easy to join us since we all want to make friends with you. Then, you needn¡¯t worry about the life here, because the girls and boys in our class are very friendly and helpful. Whenever you get in trouble, they are ready to lend their hand to you.
At last, I personally advise you to learn some basic Chinese, in order to communicate with local people and it is much easier for you to get on with teachers and classmates by speaking Chinese. We are looking forward to seeing you. Yours,
