Inertial reference frame is such a kind of reference frame in which Newton’s lawis true. Otherwise, it is non-inertial reference frame. Reference frames which arestatic or take uniformly linear motion relative to an inertial reference frame are alsoinertial reference frames.
2. 6’ Moment of inertia
Moment of inertia is a physical quantity describing the rotation inertia of a rigidbody, which is determined by the mass, mass distribution and position of the rotationaxis of the rigid body. Moment of inertia plays the same role as mass intransformation. The larger the moment of inertia is, the more difficult we change therotation status of the rigid body.
3. 6’ Simple harmonic motion (SHM)
Simple harmonic motion is such an oscillation which has constant amplitude,angular frequency and initial phase. The motion equation is y=Acos(ωt+φ). Usually,the resultant force is a restoring force.
4. 6’ The law of conservation of angular momentum
When the resultant moment of force is zero, the angular momentum of thesystem will keep conservation.
5. 6’ Optical path and optical path difference
Optical path is defined as the product of the traveling geometrical path of theoptics and the diffraction index of the medium.
The difference of two optical paths is called optical path difference.
