教案

Topic: Our five facial features Time: 45 mins

Analysis of material:

1. The topic is closely linked to everyone , to our daily life .

2. The topic of this class is our five facial features. It is a New class , students should learn 6 new English words 3. A tongue twister can greatly help students to remember these new words ,and the new knowledge. 4. Mastering all new words is easy for the second grade primary school students.

The analysis of learners: 1. There are 30 students.

2. Students’ English learning is in a incipient stage. 3. Students is too young to control themselves well.

4.Students’ interest in English has not be motivated.

5.Student can not focus their attention on the teacher all the time.

6.Students are lively and active , they are brave to show themselves and like do many games and activities.

7.Students are eager for praise and encouragement in this age.

Teaching objects:

Knowledge objects

1. Students can know and correctly read the new words , such as face , hair , eyes... 2. Students can match theses new words with the actual facial features. 3. Students can correctly write these new words. 4. Students can recite tongue twister by themselves. II.

Ability objectives:

1. Students can enlarge their vocabulary.

2. Students can improve their listening ,writing and speaking English skills. III. Emotional objectives :

1. Students can increase interests in English .

2. Students can understand the importance about our facial features and know we should protect them carefully.

Teaching points: I.

1. Students know and correctly read these new words

2. Students can match these new words with our actual five facial features. 3. Students’ listening and speaking skills can be improved.

1. Students can remember these new words by themselves. 2. Students can correctly write the new words.

Teaching methods: Q&A method、group work method、situational teaching

method.

Teaching aids: PowerPoint, video, blackboard, cards, eyepatch. Teaching procedures:

I.

Step 1:Warm-up (5 mins)

1 . The teacher comes into classroom and greets to the students:“Good morning boys and girls.”

2 . The teacher inquires about the weather and the mood of the students:“It’s a nice day ,right? How are you felling today ?” 3 .The teacher plays a cartoon video.

4 .After video , the teacher asks students :“ Do you know who is she/he .”

and :“Why do you know he/her.” 5. Through students’ answers ,the teacher says in a guide way:“oh ,I know you all know her because you all have watched this cartoon ,right? So you all know he/she because you remember his/her appearance when you watched the cartoon ,right?” 6. The teacher says :“ Every one has their own appearances ,we recognize different people through their appearances , but do you know how many organs in our head ,and what are they?”

(Justification : This can stretch the distance between the teacher and students and can enhance the class atmosphere. Through the cartoon and ’.

the communication between the teacher and students , the teacher attract students attention and increase their interests for the topic) II. Presentation (25 mins)

1. The teacher shows these pictures one by one and teach students how to

read these new words (face、eyes、 nose、 mouth、 ears) with kinds of interesting ways (boys read , girls read, group read ,different lines read ,different voices read, Q&A) until almost everyone can open their mouth and correctly read. The teacher can check the students’mastery by inviting some students to read.(Especially the teacher should explain the differences between eye and eye, ear and ears.) 2. through writing down in the blackboard ,the teacher tells students how to

correctly write these new words in their textbook , then asks

students :“Can you show me what you wrote ?”to check whether students can write these words by themselves. 3. Students read the tongue twister several times by the teacher’s guide.

4. Giving two minutes to all students to recite this tongue twister ,then the teacher asks :“Is there anyone who want to recite this tongue twister for us , if you can recite correctly and quickly , you can get a red flag .”

5. (Justification :By interesting methods ,students can not only

remember these new words ,but also fell English is an interesting subject.)

III. Consolidation (12 mins)

1. Can we guess (3 mins )

The teacher shows every part of a cartoon character one by one ,and

ask :“What is this ?”Students answer :“eyes , mouth ,ears...”. The teacher says :“Do you know whose eyes (mouth、hair、nose...)it is ?If you don’t know let’s we see other parts in the face.”The teacher shows all parts until shows a complete face , then says:“ now I guess you all know who he/she is, so can all of you tell me who is he/she ?”After student

answing ,the teacher says:“ Yes ,you are so good , you can recognize he/she through his/her every parts of the face ,right ?” 2. Touching and feeling(6 mins )

The teacher puts a face with all facial features in the blackboard , and invite a volunteer every time whose eyes will be hidden to touch a organ that the teacher read . The rest classmates can give some cues through

these words—up、down、left、right. The students will hand out red flags for those students who do well in this game . 3. My favorite cartoon character(6 mins )

The teacher gives 3 minutes for every students to draw his/her favorite cartoon character , then invites some students to introduce his/her favorite cartoon character with two English sentences patterns—This is... and It is ... (for example , This is Micky Mouse , it is his eye , it is his

nose...sometimes the student should point out the corresponding part on the face) Every student who is willing to show his/her drawing and explain to us will be rewarded with a red flag . Every student take out a piece of paper.

4. Counting (1 mins )

Every students count on amount of the red flag they get . the student who rank first will win a little prize. the teacher should also encourage other students at the same time.

(Justification :Through various activities ,students can better consolidate these new words they have learned in this class, and have a good command of what they have learned today.) IV. Summary: (3 mins )

The teacher invites a students to make a summary:“ Well ,I am so tired ,is there anyone can help me to make a summary for us ?”After the students finishing it ,the teacher should interpret it again and add some details . (Justification: To make students have a general conception of what they have learnt in this class.) V. Homework: (2 mins )

1. Recite the tongue twister with your friends. 2. Tell your parents how to read our facial features.

(Justification: Homework can check students’ learning effect ,and students can have a better understanding and of these new knowledge .Through the interaction between students and parents ,parents can get their kids’ learning feedback . )
