Teaching plan of Grade Seven Unit 7 It’s raining

Section A (1a-2c) Listening and speaking

Zhengzhou Shangjie Experimental Junior Middle School Song Shuangke Leaning aims:

1.Be able to learn to these words: rain ,windy, cloudy, snow, weather.

2.Be able to describe the weather and describe what people are doing by making conversations.

3.Be able to finish the tasks after listening to the tapes of 1b,2a,2b.

4.Teach students to take good care of the environment .Protect nature ,study hard, and lay a good foundation for exploring nature. Key points and difficult points 1. Key points:

Be able to learn to these words: rain ,windy, cloudy, snow, weather.

Be able to describe the weather and describe what people are doing by studying this class. 2. Difficult points:

Be able to describe the weather and describe what people are doing. Teaching procedure Step 1 Warm up and lead in

Greeting and ask students how you are, how the weather is. Then lead in this class: how to describe the weather and describe what people are doing. Step 2 Presentation

1. (Show some pictures of the weather)

Let students look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Students learn to the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures.

2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Ask the students to match the words with pictures. 3. Check the answers.

(设计意图):通过学习,让学生掌握了本节课的单词,也做了活动1a,为下一步学习做准备。(评价:学生竞争,老师给分)

Step 3 Listening

Listen and write the city names. Then check the answers with the whole class.

(设计意图):围绕目标三,通过听力,学生能在真实的语境中体验语言并认识目标语言。(评价:学生竞争,老师给分)

Step 4 Pairwork

Look at some pictures and work in pairs to make conversations by using the information in the picture . A: How’s the weather in Shanghai? B: It’s cloudy. ......

(设计意图):围绕目标二,学生根据图片编对话并表演,使其能在真实的语境中运用目标语言,更能突出语言的趣味性、生活化和实用性。(评价:学生小组竞争,学生评价给分)。

Step 5 Listening

1. 2a . Listen and number the pictures (1—4). 2. 2b Listen again. Match the names with the activities.

(设计意图):围绕目标三,通过听力,学生能在真实的语境中体验人们正在进行的活动。(评价:师生打分)

Step 6 pairwork

Ask students to describe the weather and describe what people are doing by making conversations.Then present the target language. ---How’s the weather? ---It’s …. ---What are they doing ?---They are ….

(设计意图):围绕目标二,呈现如何描述天气和人们正在从事的活动,练习目标语言。(评价:小组竞争,老师给分)

Step 7 Interview

1.Yuan Yuan from CCTV is interviewing people in five different places. Fill in the chart below.

2. Students work in groups. Discuss the pictures and talk about the weather and what the people doing.

—How's the weather in Picture a? —It's sunny.

—What's the boy doing?

—He's playing the guitar.

3. Students ask and answer about the pictures. Then fill in the blanks. 4. Check the answers with the class.

(设计意图):围绕目标二,学生根据语境编对话并角色表演,使其能在真实的语境中运用目标语言,更能突出语言的趣味性、生活化和实用性。(评价:学生小组竞争,老师给分)。

Step 8 Emotional goals

(设计意图):围绕目标四,呈现情感目标。

Step 9 Summary

Let the students summarize this lesson.

(设计意图):通过这个环节,学生可以对本节课的语言知识进行梳理和总结。(评价:学生竞争,老师打分)。

Step 10 Exercises

Get students to do some exercises.

(设计意图):检查反馈本节课学生的学习效果。(评价:学生竞争,老师打分)。

Step 11 Homework

1. Summary the words of the weather. 2. Make three conversations about the weather.

(设计意图):通过本环节,可以让学生结合生活实际,对课堂学习的目标语言进一步巩固使用。
