第二讲 形容词与副词

前一讲回顾：名词，代词和数词

名词复数的构成及一般用法，人称代词和物主代词，基数词和序数词

一. 形容词

1. 形容词的比较级和最高级的构成 1) +er, est long longer longest

2) 以不发音的字母e结尾的单音节单词和以le结尾的双音节单词 +r, st nice nicer nicest able abler ablest

3) 以福音字母加y结尾的单词，把y变成i，再+er, est. happy happier happiest 4) 双写结尾字母，再加er, est.

5) 多音节单词，加more，most构成比较级和最高级。 interesting more interesting most interesting beautiful more beautiful most beautifu;l 6) 不规则变化

二．比较级和最高级的用法 1)比较的几种基本表示

?as+原级+as? ?和?一样? 比较级+than? ?比?更? the+最高级+of/in ?最? Tom is as tall as Jack. She is happier than Tom. He is the smartest in my class.

注意！！！

1）大几岁或高几厘米(米??)的表示：数量词+adj.的比较级 My sister is three years older than me. He is 5cm taller than he. 2) 表示“?是第几??（高，大，长等）”：?the+序数词+adj.的最高级+单数名词

She is the second tallest student in her class. 3) 表示“最?之一”：one of+the+adj.的最高级+复数名词 Beijing is one of the most beautiful cities in China.

二．副词 1. 构成

一般情况下，在形容词后+ly; 以y结尾的形容词，把y变成i再加ly

特殊情况，形容词和副词同形；几个特殊的词，如 good 变成 well 2. 副词的种类

副词可以分为方式副词，程度副词，地点副词，时间副词，频度副词，以及其他的一些副词。

3. 用法

1) 作状语，修饰动词，形容词，副词或整个句子。 She dances well. This book is very interesting. Luckily, he passed the exam. He gets up very quickly. 2) 作定语，放在所修饰词的后面。 The boy there is my brother. 3) 作表语（一般是表示方位的副词，如on, in, up, down, out, back, off,等） Bill is out. She will be back in a minute. 4) 作宾语的补足语

They found the boy outside.

4. 副词的位置

1) 地点，时间，方式副词一般放句末。 Listen to the teacher carefully. See you tomorrow. 2）频度副词：在be动词，情态动词及第一个助动词后；实义动词前。 I can never forget you. She is always late for school. 3) 程度副词：修饰动词时，位置同频度副词；修饰形容词或副词时，放在所修饰词的前面。

She did her job very well. Tom is old enough to go to school.

二. 几个常用的连词

both?and? 谓语动词用复数

either?or?

neither?nor? 就近原则：根据离谓语动词近的那个词来决定谓语动词。 not only?but also?

Both Tom and Jack are students. Either he or I am going to the library. Neither you nor she is tall.

Not only you but also she is beautiful.

形容词副词练习：
