1考察专有名词、词组和多义词的解释

专有名词：人名、地名、国家名称、组织机构名称、术语

专业术语（常识性质的专有名词）：Big Bang大爆炸理论 SARS非典 学科术语：anthropological 人类学的 linguistics 语言学 词组：as?as by means of

包括：词序调整、词义选择

A词序调整：即改变英语单词在汉语译文中的先后顺序

例如，I studied very hard in the classroom at 6 every morning. 我每天早上六点钟在教室认真地学习。

B词义选择：即选择一个单词的意思来翻译，解决单词问题 词义选择的方法：

a 分析词根和词缀

multimedia 多媒体，传媒 determinism 决定论 b分析上下文：--借生词的上下文来造句

人类有能力 环境 （改造/征服/适应）

翻译考点——定语从句前置

一、定语从句的翻译

1、前置定语从句

即把定语从句翻译到所修饰的先行词前面

定语从句前置的小结：如果定语从句结构简单，信息负载量不大，翻译的时候前置。 1 Furthermore, humans have the ability to modify the environment in which they live, thus subjecting all other life forms to their own peculiar ideas and fancies.

进一步说/而且，人类有能力改造他们所居住的环境，从而使所有的其他的生命形式服从于人类自己独特的想法和想象。

Hence/Therefore/Thus 因此，从而

Subject n. 科目，学科；主语，主题；对象

v. subject sth to sth 使?遭受?；使?服从于?

New forms of thought as well as subjects for thought must arise in the future as they have in the past, giving rise to new standards of elegance. 新的思维方式和思维对象??

peculiar adj. 特有的 peculiar to?： ?所特有的

同位语从句VS 定语从句：前者完整；后者不完整 同位语从句的翻译方法：加冒号 翻译考点——定语从句后置

定语从句后置小结：如果定语从句结构复杂，信息负载量比较大，翻译的时候后置，这时可以和前面的主句脱离开来单独成句，但常常需要重复先行词或者用代词代替。 后置最常用。

事实上，它不是因为它?? ——不行，不通顺，所以需要看下前面的句子。

Which引导定从 还有一个小的定从 为什么定从后置了？

Assume：假设，认为 Agreed：一致的

Account：n. 认识，说明，表明，解释 v. account for 1解释；2占多大比重 which is something （the world does not have定从中的定从） 复杂么？ 复杂，不能前置，只能后置 the world does not have这个定从前置 There be：人们对?有?；

代词所指：在考研翻译中碰到代词

1、首先直接对应成汉语代词，但前提是译文要通顺

2、常常还需指代明确，尽可能的用指代到的名词来翻译；这时可以往前查找，遵循“就近”和“一致”原则来确定；

3、万不得已还可以用“这种情况”“这种说法”“这种观点”来直接翻译。

eg: Furthermore, humans have the ability to modify the environment in which they live, thus subjecting all other life forms to their own peculiar ideas and fancies. Their不能对应了，所以要指代明确

Their近的是other life forms，但是不一直，所以应该是指human 人类自己独特的??
