C: Hello everyone, this is Voice Entrance here! And I’m your friend Claire.
E: I’m your friend Echo! Thanks for being here with us this Tuesday afternoon. Well, the new semester has started for a while, how is everything gonging with you guys? C: Well, pretty good for me…But you know, Echo, there are always some disturbing things that can lead to unhappy moments…Such as grades, social relationships or other matters.
E: That’s right, absolutely right. Then, is there any that can help us get through these disturbing things and make our uni life more delightful? Today, our program will explore this with all of you.
C: When it comes to this topic, Echo, what do you think is the most disturbing thing? E: The answer, without any doubt, should be the old issue—grade!! And, I firmly believe there should be a number of students who is deeply obsessed by it… C: Dealing with disappointing grades is not easy, here we have collected some ways that can help you.
Don’t sit around and let them fester , and definitely don’t ignore them. Instead, admit that you need help and go in search of it soon. The faster you face up to the problem, the faster you can find a solution and see the results.
C: If you’re studying hard and still dealing with disappointing grades, it’s probably time to tweak your routine a little. Remember, if you keep doing the same thing all the time, you’ll undoubtedly keep getting the same results. Mix things up by asking for help, whether from a friend or fellow student, a teacher or a private tutor. Never get a big head or sell yourself short, believe in yourself.
E: Sitting for hours in the kitchen table trying to ignore your family, or opening your books in front of the television does not make for successful studying. Instead, find a quiet place away from the rest of your family. Make sure it has adequate lighting, is cool enough to be comfortable and is away from distractions. Get into the habit of settling into this workspace whenever you have schoolwork to do and soon you’ll be flying

through your assignments.
C：Of course , it doesn’t matter where you study or who you’re study with if you’re studying the wrong things. Make sure you’re studying successfully by reviewing your text books; looking over your notes from class; taking new notes while you study; answering all the questions you can find; talking through events or concepts that are integral to your lessons; outlining essays that you suspect will come up to an exam. C: If, after all the changes and redoubling your efforts, you are still disappointed with your grades, it is time to figure out exactly where you are going wrong. Look over exam papers and assignments to see if you are having trouble with a particular kind of question or concept.
E: Dealing with disappointing grades is a time you will face at one time or another. It won’t be wrong, but take a realistic look at you attitude in class, your study habits and your performance on past assignments and exam. Just figure out where you’re having trouble and dedicate yourself to fixing those problems. Good luck!!
C: And, it’s not enough to find solutions, acting is the most important thing!! E: Keep calm and carry on!!

E: Except grades, there are other things that plays an important role in our uni life. Such as… C: Social life.
E: Here ye！You just take the words out of my mouth, Claire. C: Sorry for that. But Echo, being left out is not pleasing.
E: And there are some people who is having trouble making friends or getting along with friends because they are too shy or their ―special‖ character.
C: Go and say hello to a blank stranger you meet in the school dining hall. Be kind, be friendly, share, say positive things, offer to help—and pretty soon you’ll have one, or two, or even more friends.
You may still miss that special best friend, But when you see each other, you can share something you didn’t have before she left, you can introduce her to your new friends!
E: Then here comes the question, hoe to get along with people?
Harsh truth of life—you can’t please everybody. But since people are social creatures,
you just have to learn how to get along. Most of the tips are common sense. Still, we lapse in following them. So take these tips as reminders on how to get along with people. Here are 5 Dos to help you.
C：The first one, greet people. Smile, and greet people a nice day. It doesn’t do people harm. It also gives the impression that you’re open and approachable. E: The second one, share. Be it some mints in your pocket or a bag of chips, ask if people want them, fallowed by handing gesture. C: the third one, lend a helping hand. Smile like helping people carry a load or holding a door for them go a long way.
E: The fourth one, smile. Remember it girls, you just need to wear two things to make you look great: confidence and smile! Smiling is part of being a human. There is a great reason why it takes less muscles to smile than to frown: nature just intended us to smile

more!!
C: The last one, respect others! The world is full is differences. However, prejudice is so last century. So learn to acknowledge people’s uniqueness and respect them. It’s the only way other people will tolerate your own unique personality. Take my words, you’ll find an amazing result.
E: Apart from the 5 Dos, there are 5 Don’ts.
First of all, don’t be so touchy. It doesn’t help you to be so sensitive. If you raise hell for the trivial things, then ask yourself, ―why am I offended by this? Why do I feel
annoyed?‖ Introspection will show you that it’s not that big a deal at all! People around and, most of the time, they can be playful remarks with no intention of offending you. As long as it doesn’t really hurt your pride and principles, just go along for the ride. C: Quick to lose your temper? Try slow counting one to ten. Breathe. Getting angry easily over trivial things will make people move away from you. If you constantly get angry, you’ll easily ward people off, even if you don’t mean to. You won’t be approachable with such an angry demeanor. Besides, too much anger brings too much stress, and that’s not good for your health at all. E: Don’t be annoying either. There are several ways you can annoying people, even if you don’t mean it. Never expect that every day is a great day for everyone, we all have good and bad days. If sense other people having a bad day and wanting some space and time for themselves, give them that. If people frankly tell you that one of your habits is annoying, better start to make some changes. Chances are, they are for the better. C: Don’t gossip. No one likes people who talk behind their backs. You might be the life of water cooler, but everyone will start to hate you and what you do. Your trust factor goes down every time you gossip.
E：Yeah, I hate those who get a bid mouth!! Don’t be an arrogant jerk, Sheer arrogance has no room in the world. There is absolutely no reason to think lowly of other people. So don’t carry demeaning attitude. Everyone’s got big brains, and you don’t know what others are capable of.
E: Sure, every girl likes it, right? But, supposing that you’re shopping in a market in a
English country, how can you arrange everything well? How can you get everything just right?
C：This is the point. Here let’s learn some daily English that is used while we are shopping. How much thing did you know except ―sale‖?
E： 在超市里我们经常看见“部分商品五折‖这样的字眼，而用英语来说就是 “50% off on selected lines‖ or ―50% discount on selected items‖. “任选两件商品享九折优惠”则是 ―buy any two together and save 10%off both products‖.
