在上述句子中不能用consist of，只有当上述句子改为被动后才能换成consist of。

=*A person’s character =A person’s character 所以，consist of无被动态，也不能用进行时，而make up是及物的，它的被动形式是be made up of。在用分词做定语时，consist of用现在分词，be made up of用过去分词。

*a team consisting of nine players

=a team made up of nine players
