第二部分、书面表达： Dear Sir, I have just finished traveling in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes. The scenery there is really beautiful, but it is suffering from damages due to natural forces such as frequent sandstorms. What’s worse, some tourists even carve their names on the walls, making me heartbroken. I strongly feel it significant to protect cultural heritage. For one thing, cultural heritage, which is the witness to the historical development, is an important basis for historical research. For another, it is likely to provide a source of tourism income, if maintained well. So I hope the authorities can take measures to protect Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, such as raising people’s awareness by handing out leaflets on perserving cultural heritage. Besides, strict regulations should be made to fine spoilers. Planting more trees is also a good way to prevent sandstorms. I would appreciate it if my suggestions were accepted.

W: Twenty years ago, my father left home to travel around the world. He went to China, Japan and Russia. He traveled for two years and then returned home. I have only ever been to one other country before. That is Canada. Now that I am old enough, I decided to travel too! I am going to start in Mexico, and then go to all the places he visited; like the big snowy mountains in Japan! I always want to go to Mexico, because they have a really famous festival there. I think I am most excited to go to China, because I heard that the food was amazing. My father always told me the most amazing stories about other countries. He would show me the writing he did while traveling. I am not a good writer, so I may not be able to describe every beautiful moment I’m going to have. But I just bought a camera and I hope to take as many pictures as I can when I travel in other countries!
