Mrs. Allyn is so nice to start such a wonderful reading holiday. I think she is doing the right thing. Reading is very important for us. We can learn a lot from books. From reading, we can know lots of things in the world without going out. Reading also is a good way to improve our listening, speaking and writing skills. Moreover, reading tells us other things — how to be a man and how to tell the difference between right and wrong. So I think it’s good idea that we bring a book back to school every month and share it with others.
My favorite book is Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. It talks about an interesting story about a brave man who spends 28 years on an island alone. I like this book because it’s interesting and tells me how I
can live in an lonely island and what I can do when I am in trouble.
