What do we live for?
Having read Homer’s LLiad, I am taken with the spirit of the Greek heroes. They are honored for their great courage, which they are dead for. At the same time, I have to consider that what do we live for?
As an ordinary undergraduate, I lead a regular life that actually I don’t like it at all. So I am going to chase a specific objective that I can live for. Every day I have to obey the rules and do something I did yesterday. I have got bored with learning, but I deeply know learning in the university is the best way to change my life in case of I am addicted to other bad hobbies. Based on that, I consider about I am living for enjoying a different life, which means I am eager to learn hard now and take a global travel maybe after a decade.
The family is also an essential reason for I live for. Faced with the people that I have blood relationship with, I have a good mind to get the objective they wish. And I deeply know if I hadn’t gotten into a good college, they would have helped me to find another way to let me have a meaningful life. So I consider that I ought to live with their hopes.
I am an amateur gastronome, so I live for eating more delicious food. The one of my dreams is that I am able to eat the food from all over the world. When I bury myself in the ocean of cates, I feel clearly that I am alive, which means I maybe find the significance of life.
Indeed, I am bound to find more tasty food to enjoy in case of the life takes my time away quickly.
To overcome the difficulties, I am eager to join the group of smart people, which I am also live for. In the company, superior has more power as well as more payment.
Meanwhile, at school, excellent students are popular among all students. Everyone is a part of the society, and what decide their positions is their abilities. Hard work is the precondition of better life. So I am struggling for being a part of smart people.
As a literature work, The Lliad impress us so many interesting and philosophic stories, some of which even become proverb. Also it creats so many characteristics in different ways from which lots of authors borrowed ideas, including Shakspere and his Odyssey. Above all, thanks for Homeric and his great contribution. We can appreciate this uncommon work as well as wisdom of human race.
Everyone has their own reasons for what do they live. Although I have listed the above entries, the key thing for me is to live in the moment. And I wish the life all the young men with a dream have will make sense.
