According to Swedish researchers, increasing levels of physical education (PE) improves children’s grades. The researchers in a university in Sweden studied more than 200 school children over nine years. They followed the students since they were in third grade.
The researchers looked into the influence of physical education on children. Some children received physical education five days a week. They also receive extra training in balance and coordination( 和谐). On the other hand, the other children received normal levels of physical education.
The study found that 96% of students in the first group achieved good grades. In the second group where the children received normal levels of PE, only 89% of students achieved such grades.
