Language points(语言点)

1 要求掌握以下句式: This is because he can make 72 changes to his shape and size. Unless he can hide his tail, he can’t turn himself into a person. To fight bad people, the Monkey King uses a magic stick.

Sometimes he can make the stick so small that he can keep it in his ear. 2.要求掌握以下词汇: (1)动词:turn ... into ..., hide, excite, (2)名词:object, tail, stick,

(3)形容词:magic, Western, traditional, normal,

(本节课的生词较少,而且单词的拼写比较简单,所以学生学起来不会感到困难,如果班级学生的水平较高,可以鼓励学生当堂掌握。)

Difficulties(难点):学会用过去式讲故事

Teaching steps(教学步骤)

1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习)

Revision: Translate the following phrases into English

Have Ss look at the screen and translate the Chinese phrases to English. Warm up:

Show Ss some pictures about the book called Journey to the West and ask Ss to talk about it.

教学设计说明:为后面的阅读教学作铺垫。引出 the book called Journey to the West 。

2. Presentation(呈现新知识)

T: What do you know about the book Journey to the West? Discuss it with your partners . (教师在幻灯片呈现几组有关the book called Journey to the West的图片,然后让学生对图片进行描述,对后面的阅读做好铺垫。)

扩大学生视野,让学生用英语思维 。为后面的阅读作好铺垫。

3. Work on 3a

T: Skim the article and answer the questions.

(教师可以四处走动,以帮助学生怎样理解文章的大意。并对个别难懂对他们阅读有障碍的地方进行注解。)

让学生掌握如何去抓住一篇文章的大意。

4. Work on 3b

T: Read the article again and complete the chart about the Monkey King.

(教师重点教会学生在文章中学会去对比,同时让学生学会带着问题有针对性的阅读。)

指导学生注意理解细节,同时让学生学会带着问题有针对性的阅读。

5. Work on 3c

T:Complete the sentences below with phrases from the passage.

(学生在阅读的同时注意语言的使用;同时检测通过阅读完一篇文章对一些重要的句子的掌握)

指导学生在进行阅读时关注重点单词及关键词的用法。

6. Share what you have learned about about the book called the Journey to the West T: Make notes about Journey to the West . Write down anything that you remember. Do not look at the article. Then share what you know with your partners.
