课堂练习 Dear friends,
How time flies!
I am Li Hua, president of the Students’ Union. It’s my great honor to be here, sharing this moment with our fellow friends from the United States. During the two-week activities, we surely exchanged our ideas on learning, sports, talent and cultures. One of the highlights was the sports meeting where we competed with each other in the basketball match.
The past two weeks witnessed our growth and our friendship. It is not only your enthusiasm but also your teamwork and good spirits that impress us deeply. After the precious exchange activity, we now have a better understanding of each other on a whole new level.
Now I sincerely hope that our friendship will last forever. Wish you all the best. Thank you. 课外作业
Hello, everyone. I feel greatly honored to be here to tell you something about Chinese banquet customs. Firstly, banquets are usually held in private rooms in restaurants which have been reserved for the purpose. Guests will be met at the door and led to the banquet room where they will be guided to their places. Next, while at banquets, guests don’t begin to eat until the host raises his chopsticks. And it’s rude to stop eating in the middle of a banquet. Drinking also plays an important part during Chinese banquets. As a Chinese old saying goes, “It’s not a banquet without wine”. Banquets always begin with a toast, with the host expressing his welcome. Finally, when the last dish is finished, the banquet has officially ended. Generally, the host will say goodbye to everyone at the door and stay behind to pay the bill.
I hope what is mentioned above might be helpful to you! Thank you for your listening!
