1.0 Purpose and Scope

1.1 In the event of an emergency, minimize danger to the health and safety of all RR Donnelley

employees, visitors and contractors.

2.0 Program Requirements

2.1 ERP Role Designations

Task ID HS500-2.1 Action Item Roles must be assigned to personnel listed in Tab 1 of the ERP Binder in Attachment 1. 2.1.1 All roles should meet the following criteria: ? Leader and at least one back-up

? Coverage for each production shift (or 24-hour)

NOTE: Roles / Responsibilities for each role are located in Tabs 2-10 of the ERP Binder 2.1.2 Commander

Typically, Senior Management assumes the role of Commander, but the site may assign responsibility to other employee.

If feasible, establish a Command Center as a location for coordinating these emergency operations. Suggested supplies: ? Copy of the ERP / Emergency Map

? Communication equipment (phones, two way radios, etc.) ? Facility Material Safety Data Sheets

? Computer/printer, Internet connection, fax machine ? Employee lists or employee sign-in sheets

2.1.3 Communications Leader/Main Entry Receptionist/Security

2.1.3.1.1

Temporary or contract personnel (e.g. security guards) are not

recommended due to the high level of turnover and training required.

2.1.4 Building Operations/Maintenance 2.1.5 Department Emergency Representatives

2.1.6 Emergency Response Teams: If the site has an emergency response team, the personnel

must be properly trained and/or certified. Examples include:

? Use of fire extinguishers

? Delivery of first aid, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) ? Implement chemical spill control procedures ? Use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

2.2 Evacuation Alarms and Evacuation Assembly Areas

Task ID HS500-2.2 Action Item Establish Evacuation Alarm, Primary and Secondary Assembly Areas identified as per Tab 2 of the ERP Binder in Attachment 1 2.2.1 Criteria to consider for Assembly Areas: ? If possible, areas should be located 100 feet (30 meters) from building

? Maintain personnel distanced from smoke, fire, and emergency personnel (firemen, etc.) 2.2.1.1 Ensure adequate emergency lighting for means of egress, in case of a power outage. 2.2.1.2 Ensure that people with disabilities can promptly report to assigned Assembly Area.

2.3 Shelter Alarms and Emergency Shelter Areas

Task ID HS500-2.3 Action Item Establish Shelter Alarm / Shelter Areas as per Tab 3 of the ERP Binder in Attachment 1 2.3.1 Criteria to consider for Shelter Areas: ? Lowest level of the building, towards the center of the building

? Away from exterior windows, doors (Examples include locker rooms, hallways, etc.). ? Recommend approximately 3 square feet (1 meter) of space, per person

2.3.1.1 Ensure adequate emergency lighting for means of egress and inside the shelter area,

in case of a power outage. 2.3.1.2 Ensure that people with disabilities can promptly report to assigned Shelter Area.

2.4 Additional Emergency Response Procedures

2.5 Emergency Head Counting Procedures

Task ID HS500-2.5 Action Item Implement process to account for RR Donnelley employees, visitors and contractors, using the sign-in log in Attachment 3 or equivalent to account for visitors and contractors. Action Item Ensure that Tabs 4 through 10 of the ERP Binder in Attachment 1 are implemented for any applicable emergency. 2.5.1 It is suggested that a copy of a crew list for each department be maintained during each shift that is accessible to Department Emergency Representatives. 2.5.2 For visitors and contractors, the sign-in log will be kept at the entrances where these

personnel enter the building. 2.5.3 A sign-out log is also recommended for RR Donnelley employees that choose to leave the

facility grounds against management direction.
