There is a growing tendency that an increasing number of people are choosing to travel by car instead of walking, which exerts great negative impacts on our society.
People’s views vary with individuals. Some people maintain they are still in favor of cars as a
means of transportation because of its convenience others, however, hold an opposite opinion,
arguing its convenience is at the cost of environment. As for me, I am inclined to the second view.
It should be noted that cars provide not only convenience in people’s daily life but also a brand
new way of life as people are more likely to avoid walking, given the comfort of cars. On the contrary, they tend to become inactive physically which may in turn lead to laziness in mind. In
addition, most importantly, this new way of life increases a large amount of carbon emission in the
atmosphere, for which nature will eventually take revenge on human beings.
Faced with the condition of global warming, the governments are encouraged to enhance relative laws and regulations on the production and consumption of car industry as well as people’s behavior to put the situation under control. In short, stopping using cars unreasonably is
