A: The negotiation is going well. I’m glad to have this opportunity to exchange ideas with you on terms of shipment. First let’s discuss the time of delivery. When can you effect shipment? B: 我想我们能在6月份装船。

A: I’m afraid that will be too late for us. T-shirts are seasonal products. We want to get the goods before the end of May in order to be in time for seasonal period. Can you do something about it to advance the time of shipment to April?

B: 我知道。但是恐怕很难,因为厂商目前定单很多。

A: But a timely delivery means a lot to us. If we place our goods on the market at t time when all other importers have already sold theirs at profitable prices, we shall lose out.

B: 我能理解。但是我们的生产商今年收到很多定单,工人们正三班倒地工作已满足大量的需求。按照厂商的日程安排,最早的交货期可能也要5月底。

A: If the goods cannot be delivered in April, I’m afaid I shall be compelled to purchase elsewhere and may have to countermand our order.

B: 好, 我们会尽量满足你方要求。由于你方订单数量较大,您愿意接受分批装运吗? A: I would prefer to have the goods shipped in one lot, but if you really cannot do it, I prefer to have half of the goods shipped in April. The balance will be shipped in May.

B:我们会尽力的。我与厂商联系一下,看他们能否在4月份交一半的货。一有答复我就给您打电话。

A: Thank you.
