1．diet n．[C/U]日常饮食 vi.节食
Everybody has to eat，but do you eat a healthy diet？(P9) 每个人都必须吃饭，但是你吃得健康吗？

diet/food
diet指习惯的食物或规定的、维持健康的定质或定量的食物，如病人的疗养饮食。 diet既可作可数名词，又可作不可数名词
food一般用语，凡能吃喝且有营养的东西都可称为food。 food常用作不可数名词，强调种类时，food可用复数。
The doctor put the patient on a special diet.医生给这个病人规定了特别饮食。 Milk is the natural food for young babies.牛奶是婴儿的天然食品。
