freshneof the deep springs of life .youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often existsin a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.

years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul .worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wirelestation : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

二十一世纪是高科技迅猛发展的时代，是国际交流更加频繁的时代。英语水平的提高对国际之间的交流起着至关重要的作用。作为二十一世纪的大学生，我们应该责无旁贷，学好自己母语的同时加强英语的锻炼，为我们社会的发展尽一份绵薄之力。所以为了增强同学们运用英语的能力，为广大同学提供一个展现自己舞台。通过参加这次活动，提高同学们英语应用能力，增长自己的演讲能力。丰富我们的生活多样化。通过同学们积极参加活动，可以促进同学们学习动力和熟练运用技能，同时向全学校宣传演讲技巧，更加促进学习英语积极性。
