(1)entry此处相当于 entrance意思是,“入口”。例如
Mum left the umbrella in the entry..妈妈把伞放在了入口处。 (2)No+名词/动名词,表示“禁止”的意思。但是要注意,如果后面跟的 是可数名词,需要以复数形式出现。例如: No bicycles!禁止骑行! No smoking!禁止吸烟!
5. One morning, the giant hears some lovely sounds. hear、 listen、 listen to都有“听”的意思,但是它们的用法不同。 (1)hear表示“听见:听到”,强调听的结果。例如:
I can hear cars and buses.我能听见小汽车和公共汽车的声音。 (2) listen表示“仔细听”,强调的是听的动作,它常单独使用,以提醒对方注意。例如
