Ways To Protect Your Skin Under The Sun Written on February 16, 2013 by Marie Do you know who the best people are when it comes to protecting your skin from the sun? They are the Asians of course. 30 degrees and up is their temperature most of the time, but they still got a fair skin and beauty that can’t be compared. So when I had my opportunity to go to Thailand, I made it sure to learn Thai to interview some of the women there. And this is what I’ve found out. There are different ways to protect your skin when you are under the sun. Here are some of them. 1. Avoid direct sunlight during 10 am to 2 pm; it is the time of the day where the sunlight is too strong to be kept away by our skin. However, if you really need to go during these hours, you may use long sleeves and a hat with a brim to protect your skin. 2. Using moisturizer(润肤露)with SPF protection is a great way to reduce skin wrinkles and aging signs. 3. Cover your entire face, nose, ears, forehead and even your lips too, with proper sunscreen protection. SPF 15 is a good choice but SPF 30 is better. 4. For sensitive(敏感的)skin, a foundation with SPF protection is the best makeup solution to use for protecting your face from the sun. 5. Skin around your eyes is also sensitive to sunlight. It can be easily injured and are very easy to fine lines. It’s best to use a sunscreen stick in protecting areas around your eyes. Having a healthy skin doesn’t mean spending your life hiding on the harmful rays of the sun, dust, pollution and harmful situations. You can surely enjoy outdoor activities as long

My mother fought cancer for almost ten years and died at 56. She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving she was.
We often speak of \mommy,\and I find myself trying to explain the illness that took her away from us. They have asked if the same could happen to me. I have always told them not to worry, but the truth is I carry a \developing breast cancer. My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer, although the risk is different in the case of each woman.
Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to minimize the risk as much as I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy(乳房切除术). On April 27, I finished the three months of medical procedures that the mastectomies involved. During that time I have been able to keep this private and to carry on with my work.
But I am writing about it now because I hope that other women can benefit from my experience. Cancer is still a word that strikes fear into people's hearts, producing a deep sense of powerlessness. But today it is possible to find out through a blood test whether you are highly susceptible to (易感的) breast cancer, and then take action.

I also wanted to tell other women that the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy that I made. My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don't need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer.
Breast cancer alone kills some 458,000 people each year, according to the World Health Organization, mainly in low- and middle-income countries. It has got to be a priority to make sure that more women can have gene testing and lifesaving treatment, whatever their means and background, wherever they live. The cost of testing for BRCA1, at more than $3,000 in the United States, remains an obstacle(障碍)for many women.
For any woman reading this, I hope it helps you to know you have options. I want to encourage every woman, especially if you have a family history of breast cancer, to seek out the information and medical experts who can help you through this aspect of your life, and to make your own informed choices.
