? Use a wire sling of a greater S.W.L whenever the exact weight of the load is unknown or there is

? Make consideration of the sling angle, choke, hitch etc in determining the SWL of the sling.

? Protect wire slings from sharp corners or edges with padding.
使用垫板保护锋利的拐角或边缘处的钢丝绳。
? Avoid pulling the wire slings from under loads or over obstacles.
避免从负荷下或障碍物上拖拉钢丝绳
? Avoid rolling loads over wire slings.
避免在钢丝绳上滚动负荷
? Avoid dropping wire slings from height.
避免钢丝绳从高处掉下
? Exposure to dirt and grit can cause harmful erosion and scratching and should be avoided.

? Store all unused wire rope slings in a clean dry place.
将所有不使用的钢丝绳存放在一个干净、干燥的地方
? Never use wire sling that has been cut, badly kinked or crushed.
不要使用有割伤，极度扭绞或碾压过的钢丝绳
? Prevent loops in slack from being pulled tight and kinking. If a loop is formed do not pull it out,
unfold it.
防止钢丝绳环因绷得过紧和扭绞而松散，不要拉出、展开已制作成型的钢丝绳环。
? Lubricate according to the manufacturer’s recommendation.
根据制造商的建议润滑钢丝绳。
5.2 Safe Use and Inspection of Webbing Sling 扁平吊装带的安全使用和检查
Only riggers who have received the necessary training & experience are to be engaged for the attaching / configuring slings / loads.
只有接受过必要的培训和有经验的起重工才能进行钩挂/配臵钢丝绳及负荷。
? Use only identified slings.
只能使用经过验证的吊带。
? Never use a damaged sling.
不要使用被损坏的吊带。
? Never make knots in a sling.
不要在吊带上打结。
? Never drag sling from underneath a load that is resting on it.

当负荷压在吊带上时，不要在负荷的下面拖拉吊带。
? Always ensure that lifting hooks or device have smooth edges that will not damaged the eyes of
the sling.
始终确保吊钩或装臵有光滑的边缘，不至于损坏吊带的环眼。
? If sling are to be used in chemically abnormal atmospheres or in constant high temperatures,
then seek confirmation of advice before use.
如果吊带用于非正常的化学环境中或用于持续的高温条件下，使用前应征求确认建议。
? Don’t store slings in ultraviolet light or direct sunlight or near direct heat.
不要将吊带存放在紫外光线或在阳光直接照射下或高温附近。
? Always observe the certified capacity of a sling and be aware of the reduction in sling capacity in
respect of the sling angle, choke and hitch etc.
经常检查合格吊带的起重能力，并熟知钢丝绳夹角、钩挂等方面对减少钢丝绳起重量的影响。
? Always inspect a sling before use.
每次使用前，对吊带进行外观检查。

? Check for cuts and snags.
检查是否有切割痕迹和抽丝处。
? Check for bleaching out of sling’s color.

? Check for increased stiffness of the material.

? Check for abrasion of the webbing sling.

? Check for melting or charring on any part of the sling.

? Check for broken or stretched threads where the sling is sewn together.

? Check for cracks, wear, deformation or corrosion of end fittings (applies to metal end fittings
only).

? Check for identification tag with manufacturer’s name, part number, material of construction, and rated capacities.

5.3 Hook inspection 吊钩检查

? Never use a latch that is distorted or bent.
不要使用变形或弯曲的保险卡扣。
? Always make sure that the spring will force the latch against the hook.

? Check for wear, cracks, corrosion and twisting from the saddle to the tip of the hook.
