宾语从句
一、宾语从句的意义
宾语从句在主句中充当及物动词或介词的宾语，有些形容词也可以接宾语从句，引导宾语从句的连接词有that, if, whether, who, whose, whom, what, which, when, where, why, how等。 二、宾语从句的引导词的用法
1.that无词义，在口语或非正式文体中常省略，引导的是陈述句。如： I hear(that) he’ll be back in a month. 2.whether/if(是否)
I don't know whether/if she will be able to come. I was not sure whether/if she would come.
Everything depends on whether we have enough money.
I am not sure whether he will come back home tomorrow or not.
3.what, who, whose, whom, which, when, where, how, why等代词或副词引导宾语从句须用陈述语序。如：
Could you tell me why you are going to Tibet?
I asked Frank which floor he lived on in the hotel yesterday, but he didn’t tell me. 三、宾语从句的时态
1.当主语是一般现在时的时候，宾语从句可以根据实际情况需要用各种时态。如： A. He asks Mr.Hu if he can give Jim some work. B. He says that Jim isn’t lazy.
C. He knows she will be back in a week.
D. He says it was very cold in Shandong then.
2.当主语是一般过去时的时候，宾语从句须用过去的某种时态。 A. Mr.King didn’t know when his son came home yesterday evening. B. He said that he was working hard on his Chinese.
C. They asked me where I had been during the May Day holidays. D. --The train is leaving right now, but David hasn’t arrived yet.
--Well, he said he would come here on time.
