新概念第二册第14课笔记 Do you speak English?

I had an amusing experience last year. After I had left a small village in the south of France, I drove on to the next town. On the way, a young man waved to me. I stopped and he asked me for a lift. As soon as he had got into the car, I said good morning to him in French and he replied in the same language. Apart from a few words, I do not know any French at all. Neither of us spoke during the journey. I had nearly reached the town, when the young man suddenly said, very slowly, \you speak English?' As I soon learnt, he was English himself!'

amusing adj. 好笑的，有趣的 amused adj.引人发笑的 The story amused me. The story is amusing. Funny 好笑的, 可以指贬义, 开心的

experience n. 经历 经验 : 不可数名词 经历 : 可数名词 experienced:有经验的 wave to sb;向某人招手 take a lift:搭便车 ive sb a lift:让某人搭便车 B wants to take a lift. A will give B a lift.

这组词的共同意思是“旅行”“ 游历”“观光”“游程”。其区别是： journey多指有目的地的陆上长途旅行,有时也指水上或空中旅行,其距离远近、时间长短、旅行的目的和方式均不限,并不表示是否要返回出发地,是正式用语。

voyage主要指水上或空中旅行,也是正式用语。

trip是非正式用语,可以代替journey和voyage,但trip常指时间较短、距离较近的旅行,旅行方式不变,并且意味着旅行结束后还要回到原来的地方。

tour指根据一定的路线,事先预定了一些逗留地点,旅行结束后仍回原地的旅游,其主要目的多为观光、视察或进行其他活动,路程

一般都比较长。

travel意思广泛,可以表示不论时间长短,不论路途远近,不论为了什么目的或使用什么交通工具的旅行或游历,它可与本组其余的词通用。

after : 在什么什么之后, 主句的动作发生在从句之后, 从句的动作发生在前,

before : 在什么什么之前, 主句发生在从句之前, 主句用过去完成时.

如果两个都是过去时, 同时发生, 会用进行时态; 如果一先一后, 发生在前的动作为过去完成时(had done) ask sb for sth 请求某人要求得到什么东西 as soon as : 一...就... as long as

apart from : 除了什么之外, except except和except for都有“除…”的意思。

1.except表示只是单纯地将其后所接的人或事物排除在外; except for表示“除了…”“只是…”,引述一个相反的原因或细节,部分地修正了句中的意思。

2.前后有相称的同类语时,只能用except,不用except for All the buildings are excellent except this one. All the buildings are excellent except for their location 我得知 : I learn; 我知道 : I know(我本来就知道) As+主语+动词+逗号+句子
