我觉得蔡锦感觉非常敏锐,直觉非常好。她在老家童年时期的生活感悟,后来都对她的艺术产生了影响,但是都是在直觉层面,个人叙述也许不能清楚表达,但是渗透在她的作品里面却显得非常清晰。包括从平面走向空间,我想都是她艺术发展的一个轨迹。可以看出来她的艺术中的女性气质或者说潜在的女性主义特征非常强。她对美人蕉的解读不仅是个人化的,而且是女性主义的。其中隐含着对生命的深层体验。这有赖于她非常鲜明的形式语言,她的作品一开始就把握到一种属于自己的、别人没有的叙事方式。她画的美人蕉,大家一看就知道,这是蔡锦的非常个人化的语言。 ——贾方舟(2013年)
I have found that Cai Jin is very sharp and highly intuitive. Her experiences and feelings in her childhood in her hometown were to influence her art later on, though at the intuitive level. This she failed to clearly express in her narrative, but it is explicitly immersed in her artworks. This, from plane to space, has been her path of growth as an artist.
