Since last year, city streets around China have seen colorful shared bikes, which people can rent with a smartphone app and then park wherever they choose. To reduce traffic jams and air pollution, many cities have offered bike-sharing. But sometimes, dreams can turn sour.

However, punishment may not be the best way to stop shared bikes from being stolen or damaged. Bike-sharing services will work well only if people follow the rules and show respect for the bikes and other users.

Who would have thought of creating a library in a war zone where danger surround people? But a few book lovers have built an underground library in Darayya, Syria, which provides learning, hope and inspiration.

Anas Ahmad is one of the founders of the library and he is a former civil engineering student. Many times he and his friends risk their lives to collect books from destroyed houses near the front line.That means they have to be extremely careful when they go through bombed-out buildings; they have to hide themselves from snipers(狙击手).

Earthworms (蚯蚓) are friends of farmers. They can make holes (洞) in the earth, so rain and air can get through. That helps plants grow. But now in the United States, some earthworms are making problems.

The earthworms are called Asian jumpers. They first came to the US from Asia. They are big and strong. They can jump off the ground. They can also grow as long as 15cm.
