Cherish What You Have
It is commonly seen in college that a number of students are not sufficiently appreciative of what they have, longing for what they don’t have instead. I’m opposed to this kind of attitude. Life is brief. It is emergency for us to cherish what we have. If we always longing for what we have not, we will lose what we already have at last.
Life is fair. Maybe you don’t have a great deal of fortune, but you have beloved parents and a harmonious family; maybe you are not gifted, but you have strong spirits and are hard-working; maybe you don’t have enough life experience, but you own the most wonderful youth to strive. Therefore, don’t complain that you have less.
Cherish persons around you. They can be your grandparents without much time in their rest life. They can be your parents who do everything for you without repay and you just take it for granted. They can be your friends who listen to you when you are confused. These persons are the best you have and if you neglect them, you will get the cost of losing them before you realize it. Cherish youth. It’s too short to keep and is of vital significance for you to strive.
As the saying goes, happiness is not getting all you want, but enjoying all you have. So I’m appealing to you all college students to appreciate what you have.
