Franky Zapata has been driven by a single dream since he little: being able to fly. Not in an airplane, he says, since the windows function like a screen, but like a bird. As the French inventor was born colorblind, that ruled out learning to fly helicopters. So after several years spent racing jet skis, he invented hydrojets(喷液)which allowed him to at least fly above the water.

Then improvements in technology allowed him to go further, cutting the hydrojet from its tether and taking to the air.” When you fly with your body,” says Zapata, “even your hands affect the direction you want to go in. You feel the air through your fingers. It’s like becoming a bird. But it's also very hard. I have to fight against the wind with my legs so there's pain too. It’s not as peaceful as it looks.\

Last Sunday the 40-year-old former jet-ski champion took to the skies above Paris at the Bastille day parade, capturing the world’s imagination with a board that can reach an altitude of nearly 500 feet-with the potential to go much higher and a speed of 140 kilometers per hour. Back in his workshop near Marseille, Zapata says while he enjoys showing his creation off to a crowd, what he really loves is flying alone.” It's wonderful when I’m flying around the Arizona desert, through the mountains. That's why I built this machine,” he says. “In my heart the best thing is the freedom.\

Already, he has worked with the US and French militaries, with the French investing 1.4 million dollars in tests of the board.” If the question is do I think I will sell this to special forces all over the world, the answer is yes. When? I don’t know,” says Zapata. As for commercial uses, he says that regulations need to he worked out and safety issues looked at before the technology can be put to wider use.

A high school principal fell into a month-long coma and died on Sunday after selflessly donating his bone marrow to save the life of a teenager in France.

Derrick Nelson, who worked at West Geld High School in New Jersey, had the procedure at a Bergen County hospital in February. “After the procedure he did, he couldn’t speak and was lying in the bed,” his father, Willie Nelson, said. “His eyes were open and he realized who we were. But he couldn't move. He never spoke again.\“We really don’t know the full story of what happened,” he added. \coma he was in. But he didn't make it.\

His Wife, Sheronda Braker, said that he \best companion and life partner I could have ever asked for. He loved his family almost beyond belief. He was a man who carried himself with dignity, courage and compassion,” she continued. “His last kind and generous act on this earth in giving so someone else might live is a true testament to who he was and how he should always be remembered. We will always love him.

According to the school newspaper, Nelson donated blood during college in 1996-and it wasn't until 2018 that he got the call he might be able to save a life. Be The Match, a national bone marrow donor program, contacted Nelson in October and told him that he could be a match for a 14-year-old boy. Just a few months later, he went through with it.

The process to extract the bone marrow was rough and he felt terrible, he told the student newspaper, but \it’s just a little bit of pain for a little bit of time that can give someone years of joy, it’s all worth it.\ 24. Which can be used to replace the underlined word \A. Process. B. Treatment. C. Operation. D. Inspection. 25. What does the third paragraph mainly talk about?
