Last week, our school put up a poster, saying that we students should pay more attention to the voluntary work around our community to help more people in need. In response to it, I took part in the activity of doing voluntary work in a local nursing home, where voluntary service is badly needed. During the activity, I cleaned the floor, washed the dishes and rearranged the furniture for the senior people there. Not only did I learn how to do the housework but also I gained the valuable experience of helping others. What a meaningful day it was!
