Have you ever met the situation where you kept thinking that there are opportunities, or chances, which are better than your current one? This is the syndrome(综合征) when you are looking at the other side of the grass and think that the grass is greener on the other side and is also what I call the “greener grass” syndrome.
Why are you like this? Uncertainty and curiosity play a big part in creating the “greener grass” syndrome. If you have this syndrome, you are likely to miss a lot of things you have now. When you are always focusing on other opportunities, sometimes you may waste the opportunity right in front of you.
So what can you do to treat the “greener grass” syndrome? Just remember:the grass always starts out a nice and shiny green, but will begin to wear a bit with use. Then, it still needs to be maintained in order to stay a nice shade of green. So as for your jobs, the first thing to do is recognize that your current job is your best choice right now. Try to focus on “what is” instead of “what if”. Secondly, always stick to your job, no matter which side you are at. Last but not least, always do your best in your current job. In conclusion, it is important for you to choose a side, and make the best. 24. Which one of the following thoughts is Not the “greener grass syndrome”? A.Students studying abroad must live a much more relaxing life than us. B. I am better than I used to be. C. What if I were a boy
D. If I could just lose 10 pounds, I would feel better. 25. How can people deal with the “green grass” syndrome? A. Stick to whatever side you are at. B. Just ignore the dulled green grass C. Seek for the best choice. D. Focus on “what if”
26. What is the purpose of this passage? A. To introduce a common medical syndrome.
B. To discuss ways to focus on different opportunities. C. To persuade people to make the best of what they have. D. To show people different ways to make the grass greener. 27. How is the passage organized? A. Opinion — Description — Discussion B. Comparison — Argument — Explanation C. Introduction — Explanation — Discussion D. Explanation — Supporting examples — Main idea

Thank you! Thank you all so very much. Thank you to the Academy, thank you to all of you in this room. I have to congratulate the other incredible nominees(提名者)this year for their unbelievable performances. 'The Revenant' was the product of the tireless efforts of an unbelievable cast and crew I got to work alongside. First off, to my brother,Mr. Tom Hardy. Tom, your talent on screen can only be surpassed by your friendship off screen. As the history of cinema unfolds, you have made your way into history this past two years. Thank you for creating an outstanding cinematic experience for all of us. Thank you to everybody at Fox and New Regency…my entire team. I have to thank everyone from the very beginning of my career…Mr. Jones for casting my first film. Mr. .. for teaching me so much about the cinematic art form. To Mr. Rick Yorn, thank you for helping me navigate(航行) my way in this industry. And to my parents, none of this would be possible without you. And to my friends, I love you dearly, you know who you are.
And lastly I just want to say this: Making ‘The Revenant’ was about man's relationship to the natural world. A world that we all felt in 2015 as the hottest year in recorded history. Our production needed to move to the southern tip of this planet just to be able to find snow. Climate change is real, it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work together immediately and stop procrastinating. We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, but who speak for all of humanity, or all the people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people out there who would be most affected by this. For our children's children and for those people out there whose voices have been drowned out by the politics of greed. I thank you all for this amazing award tonight. Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted. Thank you so very much.

People are divided into those who can jump out of bed each morning and those who need several hours to wake up. But does it tell the full story?
I have hated getting up early all my life. The moment the alarm goes off in the morning I feel sick and it's hard to stomach any food until mid-morning.Nights, though, are a different story; I'll happily stay up and I'll do anything to escape an early start.
This makes me an owl, but I know plenty of larks who insist that dawn is the best part of the day. While I stumble into work bleary-eyed, they have been up for hours and even seem cheerful about it. By the evening the roles are reversed(颠倒).This is where we come into our own.
But it is a myth to say that society is neatly divided into lark and owls. Surveys that explore what time of day people prefer to do activities reveal that only 20% of adults are true larks or owls. That leaves 80% of us – half of which lean towards one direction or the other, the other half are neither. That's terrible for those owls around the world who have to exist in a society organised around the larks. Schools and work often start very early, and there's a sense of love for getting up early, while the owls are simply slovenly. But no one suggests that the larks are lazy for having an early night while owls are working.
Fortunately science is on my side. I'm not sleeping my life away or missing the best part of the day. I'm behaving according to my genes. Researchers have found that your chronotype(睡眠类型)is to a large extent genetic. So it seems that when I try to get up early I am fighting my genes. With the help of an alarm clock I can force myself to get up early. But as soon as I fail to set the alarm my genes will return to my old ways.
32.According to the passage, what is the characteristic of larks?
A. They go to bed late and get up late. B. They go to bed early and get up late. C. They go to bed late and get up early. D. They go to bed early and get up early. 33.What do we know about the surveys mentioned in the passage? A. 20% of adults are true larks
B. 40% of adults are neither larks nor owls. C. Half of people seem to be owls.
D.People can only be divided into larks and owls.
34. The underlined word “slovenly” in Paragraph 4 can be best replaced by”_____”. A. lazy C. tired
B. bored D. stupid
