Step1: Warming up 1. Greetings. 2. Free talk.

T: Hello, boys and girls. I’m ……What’s your name? What’s your hobby?

T: I want to be a singer.What do you want to be ?

3.To review the words: worker,doctor,soldier,mailmain,policeman, scientist,singer,dancer,teacher,farmer,nurse,bus driver. Step 2 Learn the text

1.Listen to the tape.Ask students to listen to the tape and answer questions: What does Sally want to be?Why? Does Want Tao want to be a teacher?

2Listen again and check the answers 3.Learn the words.

4.Read after the tape ,and then ask some students to read the text. Step 3 Learn to say a rhyme

1. Look at the picture of page66,make the Ss to say in Chinese. 2. To learn the rhyme and read after the tape 3. Act the rhyme. Step 4 Listen and circle

1.Play the tape for the Ss to listen and circle. 2.Play again for the Ss to check their answers .

1.Look at the picture. ( in the sky ).

the sun, the moon, the earth, the stars (Teach ‘ the earth ’) 2. We see … in the day. We see … at night. 3.Point to the sun and the moon.

The sun is bigger than the moon. The moon is smaller than the sun. Teach the word ‘ than ’.

4.big----bigger, small----smaller 形容词比较级 5.Which is bigger, the earth or the moon? The moon is smaller than the earth.

6.Which is bigger, the stars or the sun? Many stars are bigger than the sun. 7. They look small because they are far away from us. 8. Learn the text.

Find out the sentences: … is … than …. Listen and repeat.
