Drill (10mins)

Ask the students to read the sentences patterns and the sample dialogues. 1. Nice to meet you. 2. How are you doing? 3. Give me a hug.

4. I haven't seen you for ages. 5. My pleasure.

6. What's new with you? 7. So far so good.

8. What have you been up to? 9. He is my age.

10. Very nice to have you here.

Practice& Role play (25mins)

1. Ask the students and their partners to practice the

sentences patterns again and again, the teacher walks around to check and guide.

2. Ask the students use the sentences patterns and some words they look up in the dictionary to make dialogues. The teacher will find 3-4 pairs to show their dialogues and give scores.

Summary (6mins) 1. Nice to meet you. 2. How are you doing? 3. Give me a hug.

4. I haven't seen you for ages. 5. My pleasure.

6. What's new with you? 7. So far so good.

8. What have you been up to? 9. He is my age.

10. Very nice to have you here.

Quiz(15mins)

Ask the students read a short passage out loudly to test their level.

Homework (1min)

Review the sentences patterns and preview.
