如,PEP小学英语六上中, Unit 4单元的话题是“hobbies”, Unit 5单元的话题是“jobs”,在Unit 5单元的对话教学中,我们可以整合这两个话题,改编课文对话: A:Who’s she? B:She’s my mother.
A:Wow, your mom is so beautiful. What’s her hobby? B:She likes math very much. A:Is she a math teacher? B:No, she is an accountant. A:Where does she work? B:She works in a bank. A:How does she go to work?
B:Usually she goes to work by bus, sometimes by taxi. (三)上下册教材之间话题整合
如,PEP小学英语六上中,Unit 3单元的话题是“Activities in the future”,Unit 4单元的话题是“hobbies”,PEP小学英语六下中,
Unit 3、4单元的话题是“Activities in the past”, 我们可以整合这些话题,创编对话: A:What’s your hobby?
B:I like fishing. What about you?
A:Me, too. And I went fishing last weekend. B:Where did you go? A:I went to the East Lake.
B:That’s a nice place. How did you go? A:I went by bike. B:Did you catch any?
A:Sure, that evening my mom cooked them and ate with my grandparents.
B:Good! What are you going to do this weekend then? A:Let’s go fishing, OK? B:Good idea! A:When are we going? B:Sunday afternoon? A:No problem. By bike? B:Sue, if you like. A:OK, see you then. B:See you.
四、搭建平台 创新话题
学习语言的最终目的是为了能在交际环境中灵活运用。交际语言的运用不应仅仅局限在课堂上,还应延伸到第二课堂、课外活动中去,教师要努力搭建各种平台,如英语角、英语课本剧、英语联欢会等等,
拓宽学生的视野,更广泛地提供使用英语的场所,激发学生学习语言、运用语言的主动性,特别是对学生从课堂内的有准备表演到课堂外的灵性发挥,创新话题。
每上完一个单元,笔者在各班会组织一次英语角,鼓励他们结合当前单元的话题,小组合作创编对话(因教材的特点,大多对话为2人合作完成),学生们的积极性很高,也取得了良好的效果,以下选取2篇: Dialogue 1
A:Hello, this is He Zhenling. B: Hi.
A: What are you doing? B: I’m watching TV. A: What’s on?
B: Happy Sunday. It’s so funny. And you? A: I’m doing my homework. B: What did you do this afternoon?
A: I went fishing with my uncle. I caught a big fish. B: Really? How heavy is it? A: It’s 5Kg. B: Wow so big!
A: Would you like to eat it tomorrow evening? B: Thank you very much!!! You are so nice. A: You are welcome. See you tomorrow. Bye. B: Bye.

从笔者自身的实践来看,话题式教学,大大提高了学生运用语言进行交际的能力,有效地促进了小学英语对话教学。但同时,也有一些困惑:话题内容与学生的实际生活相脱节,比如PEP小学英语六上中,Unit 1单元的话题是“Transportation”,由于孩子们大多数
是学区生,家离学校很近,基本上都是走路来上学,因此运用句型“How do you go to school?”展开话题时,学生会觉得比较单调;话题所涉及的单词、句型欠丰富,比如PEP小学英语六上中,Unit 4单元的话题是“Job”,由于孩子们家长职业的多样性,而教材只出现了几种典型性职业单词,因此运用句型“What does your father/mother do?”展开话题时,有些职业学生往往不会表达,有些孩子索性编个自己会说的职业,导致语言交际的真实性缺失;此外,有些话题的主题欠突出,空间欠开放等。在今后的教学实践中,还需不断反思,不断创新。
