第一节 求职信
一、写作指导
求职信开头通常直接说明要申请的职位，其次是简单明了地说明年龄、毕业学校、专业等情况。申请人需要说明自己申请职位的相应特长、技能、工作经历，必要时还需附上个人简历。
信的左上角为供职方的地址，收信人是所求职单位相应的管理人员，如president, director, chief engineer等。右上角为申请者地址及时间，有时地址也可省略。
二、常用句型
求职信写作的常用句型有如下几类：
（1）In applying for the position of the sales manager, I offer my qualifications, which I
believe will meet your exact requirement.
我提交资质材料，以申请销售经理一职，我相信我的才能可以满足你们的要求。 （2）Immediately I saw your advertisement in the paper for …, I felt it was just the kind of
post for which I have the qualifications and for which I have been looking for some time. 一看到贵公司在报上刊登的招聘广告，我就意识到这正是我这段时间所寻找的工作，并且我很合适。
（3）The kind of work in which your company is engaged particularly interests me.
我对贵公司目前开展的这种业务特别感兴趣。
（4）I should be pleased to attend for an interview at your convenience.
我将乐意在您方便的时候接受面试。
（5）It seems to me that this experience, together with my education, has given me ideal
preparation to assume the role of … in a firm such as yours.
对我来讲，这些经验加上我的学历，使我具备了担任像您这样的公司……一职的资格。
（6）I would like to apply for admission to your college. 我想申请进入贵校。
三、写作模板

② for改为to, “对……有好处”应用短语do good to。
③ be tired with意为“因……而感到劳累”，考生在此处要表达的是“因……而
感到厌倦”，应使用be tired of。
④ 短语错误，应改为most importantly，用副词做状语起补充说明的作用。 ⑤ improve 应使用过去分词形式作get的表语，get done表示被动。

第二节 推荐信
一、写作指导
推荐信的基本功能是说明被推荐人的性格、能力和品行，评估申请人是否具备未来发展的必要的学术或专业资格。推荐信必须由具有公信力的人撰写才有信服力。推荐人必须诚实，且推荐信内容均需以事实为依据。好的推荐信应当由具备相当知名度且与申请人熟识的人撰写。申请人的长官、同事或学校里的老师是最佳人选。但是在高中英语写作中的推荐信多为自荐信。自荐信即自己推荐自己，多用在求职或上学中，作者本人要对自己的情况实事求是地进行描述，不夸大其词。
二、常用句型
推荐信写作的常用句型有如下几类：
（1）I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation to support his application.
我非常高兴写这封推荐信，以此来支持他的申请。
（2）I am very delighted to have been asked to write this letter of recommendation for …
我非常高兴被邀请给……写这封推荐信。
（3）I had enough opportunities to observe him in many ways.
我有大量的机会从多方面观察他。
（4）Apart from the aspect of …, he gives me the impression that …
除了……，他在……方面给我留下了深刻的印象。
（5）Meanwhile, Mr. X is gifted in many ways. 同时，X先生是一个多才多艺的年轻人。 （6）To my knowledge, Mr. X is … 就我所知，X先生是……
（7）I would appreciate it greatly if you kindly take him into consideration for admission.
