inatwinkleofaneye,sixteenyearshaspassedsinceibecameanenglishteacher.lookingback,ihaveexperiencedpleasure,successaswellasconfusionandsadness.butithinkthereismuchtobegratefulfor.duringthefirsttwoyearsinsz,ihadahardtimeinmyteachingcareer.whydoisayso?ononehand,ilikethecitybecauseitisyoung,vital,beautifulandfullofchallenges.ontheotherhand,manystudentsinthecommonclassesarequitedifferentfrommyformerstudents.theydidn’tstudyhardatall.theyweretooindolentinclass,talking,sleepinganddoinganythingthattheylike.itisacommonsightforthemnottodohomework.theydidn’tcareabouttheirschoolmarks.theyjustwantedtogetmuchbutpaidlittle.whatismore,theyshoweddeafearstoyouradviceorcriticismfortheirmistakesorfaults.wheniwantedtopointouttheirmistakes,ishouldweighmywordsoverandovernottohurttheirfeelings.ifeltasifilostmywayinthesea.ievenhadsuchanidea:togiveupthejobasanenglishteacher.
