Professor: Ladies and gentlemen, I present the freshmen of Harvard Law School, Class of 2004. I am
personally very honored to introduce this year's appointed speaker. After getting off to a quite interesting start, here at Harvard, she graduates today with an invitation to join one of New York's most prestigious law firms. I'm sure we are going to see great from her. Ladies and gentlemen, Elle Woods.
Elle Woods: On our very first day at Harvard, a very wise professor quoted Aristotle, “law is reason
always with passion.” Well, no offense to Aristotle, but in my four; at Harvard, I have come to find that passion is a key ingredient to the study and practice of law and of life. It is with passion, courage of conviction and strong sense of self we take our next steps into the world! Remembering that first impressions are not always correct. Part III Oral Practice
Task: Description of your ideal School
Some American parents are so dissatisfied with the public schools that they are educating their children at home. Homeschooling now provides education for an increasing number of American children and the trend is growing rapidly. Some public school educators agree that the current model for public schools needs to be changed, and they themselves have begun to create alternative schools, experimenting with class size, grouping, schedules, and curriculum. Perhaps most dramatic, these alternatives to traditional public or private schools are transforming the roles of the teachers and the students, giving students much more power to decide what they want to learn.
What is your ideal school? Name your school, and choose your school colors and decide on your school motto, etc. You may include the following points in your description.
