教 学 环 教学步骤 节 设 计 教学环节设计 Warming up 教学过程设计 I. Show students the picture on Page 35 of Unit 4. Ask them to look at the picture and discuss: 1. Where are they? 2. What are they doing? II. Introduce the key themes to students. III. Ask the students to listen to five sentences and match the key words in the sentences with the pictures in Activity 3

Listening & II. Show the map on page 37. Tell Speaking practice (1) students they are going to listen to some sentences about the places in the map. Give them some advice on listening skills. III. Play the tape twice and ask the students to practice it after the tape. IV. Present the basic sentences on the blackboard: The school is on the Grand Avenue. I. Ask students to try reading the words in the word box on Page 37. Then ask students to read them after the tape. The bank is next to the school. The bank is between the school and the park. The hospital is opposite the school. Listening & Speaking practice (2) I. Ask the students to listen to four sentences in Activity ④ and then repeat after the tape. Explain the word block to the students. II. Present the dialogue and explain the word: block III. Ask the students to listen to the dialogue in Activity ⑤. Then ask them to 4

work in pairs and try to find the three places required in Activity ⑤. IV. Show the students a map of Beijing, and write down the following expressions on the blackboard: The Temple of Heaven Consolidation II.
