From this class,students can learn about the western diet culture and learn to care for others. 【Preview】
Look at p45, put the following into English orally, then write them down without looking at the text. 1.Translate the following phrases:
⑴两片面包 ⑵一茶匙黄油 ⑶切碎 ⑷把...加在...上 ⑸在顶上 ⑹...的食谱 . 2. Translate the following sentences: ⑴ 首先把黄油放在面包上。 ⑵ 然后把洋葱和西红柿切碎。
⑶ 接下来把一些生菜和鸡肉片放在面包上。 ⑷ 把佐料放在鸡肉上。 ⑸ 把另一片面包放在顶端。

Revise how to make fruit salad, popcorn and tomato beef noodles. Show some food pictures and ask students to describe how to make them.
Students can work in pairs like this : A: How do you make ...?
B: First......Next......Then......Finally......
Students can have a match to see which pair can do it the most quickly and they can stand up to act it out by themselves.
(设计意图:以对话的形式,加上直观生动的图片复习上几节课学过的几种食物的制作过程,同时加上比赛机制,容易激发学生的学习兴趣,调动学生积极性,培养他们的自信心。经过对话练习不但操练了上节课的句型和词汇,也增加了学生的语言熟练程度,同时浓厚了课堂的气氛,为新课的学习奠定坚实的基础。) Step 2 Learn 3a Pre-reading (读前活动)
T :Look at the pictures. What are these ? Yes, they are sandwiches.Last class we learned what ingredients we need to make a turkey sandwich, now who can tell me what ingredients you like in your sandwich? You can begin like this : In my sandwich, I like......\S1: In my sandwich, I like lettuce, onion and butter. S2: In my sandwich, I like tomato, beef, relish and lettuce. S3: .... ....
Then T says “ Very good,different people like different ingredients in your sandwich. In my sandwich, I like chicken. Do you want to know how to make a super chicken sandwich? Today we are going to learn Unit 7 Section B (3a-4). Please turn to Page 45 and look at 3a.”
(设计意图:用大家都喜爱的三明治图片导入要谈论的话题,形象生动,激发学生的参与意识。学生用本节课的目标语言来描述学生喜欢的三明治,让他们初步感知本节课的重要词汇,初步了解要三明治里面包括哪些成分,为接下来的阅读做好铺垫,降低难度,增加他们的信心和好奇心。)

(设计意图:通过学生速读课文,回答问题来实现对课文的整体感知。这个问题非常简单,学生只要快速浏览题目就能轻易找出答案。这样设计,一是帮助学生从整体上把握大意;二是,简单问题的回答,能激发中下水平学生学习英语的信心,为进一步深入学习文本打下基础。)
