(Show a picture of a person) T：Do you know how to describe the person’s appearance？Can you say it in English？After this lesson，you can do it，and let’s learn together.
环节说明：开门见山地提出本节课要学的语言目标——描述人的外貌。 Step 2完成教材1a—1c的任务
1.教师利用图片来领读新单词：curly, straight, short, long, tall ,medium, height ,thin ,heavy, be of medium height, 等等。并且学习句子What does he look like? He is …and he has …
2.让学生把新单词与图画中的人物连接起来，可以重复使用，完成1a。
3.听录音，根据录音内容，完成1a图片中的填空，找到Amy的朋友，集体核对答案。（熟悉句式且练习听力）
4.1c 创设情境练习前面学习的句子，分组描述其中的一个同学，让同学们猜是谁。对于有困难的同学，老师给予个别的指导。（提高学生的学习积极性和学习兴趣，同时掌握好所学句式，突破本单元的难点。） 知识剖析：
1.What does he look like? 他长什么样子？
（1） What does/do +主语+look like ?用来询问某人长什么样子。 ①若从身高、体重方面来描述，常用“sb.+ be+形容词”句型。
②若从发型、面部特征方面来描述，常用“sb.+ have/has+(a/an)+形容词+名词”句型。 （2） 句中的look like意为“看起来像”。
例如: She looks like her mother. 她看起来像她母亲。 【注意】look like 着重“外表像”。
（3）like也可用作动词，表示“喜欢”。例如： What dose she like?她喜欢什么？ 2.Is he short or tall? 他个矮还是高？
本句是选择疑问句，选择疑问句是指说话人提出两种或两种以上情况，问对方选择哪一
种，两个选择项用or连接，选择疑问句不能用Yes或No来回答，朗读时or前面部分用升调，后面部分用降调。例如：
