六、书面表达(15分) Possible version:
Last Friday, we paid a visit to Beijing World Park, which was an unforgettable experience. In the morning, we arrived at the park by bus. When we got into the park, we saw many miniature landscapes in the world, such as the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben. Then we enjoyed folk dances by performers from foreign countries. Their performances were different and brought us into a cultural world. Before we left, we took a photo at the gate. We had so much fun that day and got to know more about different places in the world. We hope we can have another chance to go there!

Mark twain was born Samuel Clemens in Florida, Missouri,in 1835。He spent his young life in fairly wealthy family with many household slaves。The death of his
father in 1847,however,left the family in hardship。Leading an adventurous life school early, made his fortune in South America, and then set off for New Orleans。 He eventually became a riverboat pilot, and his life on the river influenced him a great deal。Perhaps most important, the riverboat life provided him with the pen name Mark Twain, from the riverboat leadsmen's signal ― “By the mark,twain”- that the water was deep enough for safe passage 。

circles。 His books were sold door-to-door。 He began to work on The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,in an effort to continue the popularity of the earlier novel,
concentrating increasingly on the Law of slavery and the South。Twain soon set Huckleberry Finn aside, perhaps because its darker mod did not fit the optimism
of the Gold Age。In the early 1880s, the hopefulness of the post-Civil War years began to fade。though。Concerned about maintaining power, many Southern politicians
began an effort to control the black men and women the war had freed cruelly。
Twain became somewhat bitter in his later years and died at 74 at his country home。However。His vivid and often amusing descriptions of life on the river remained
popular, and established the reputation he still enjoys today as one of America's greatest writers。
