I don’t really agree with the opinion that children should take part in numerous after-school activities, because children have to work hard at school and actually(实际上) they have taken enough stress. Although some parents are right about the ideas to make their children successful, I think children should be respected(尊重) and they have their own interests and hobbies. In my opinion, it is important for parents to talk with their children about whether they are willing to(乐于) take part in these activities or how many activities they should participate(参加，分享) in. I believe it is better if parents show their respect to their kids so that there will be a happy result. An important event I remember well was the Wenchuan Earthquake. It happened at 14:28 on May 12th, 2008 in Sichuan Province.
When this event happened, I was preparing for the classes in the afternoon in the classroom. Suddenly the building was shaking and my classmates were shouting “ Earthquake! Earthquake!” All of us swarmed(涌出) out to the square. I remember this event because I had never experienced this before and it caused(引起) great damage(损害) to all the people in the striken(撞机,冲击) area. Many people lost their lives. But I was lucky. Since then I deeply understood the importance of unity(完整,统一) and always kept a thankful heart.

I think people should learn more about whales, make rules on whales protection and stop putting rubbish into the sea.

Avril Lavigne is a Canadian singer and song writer. In 2002, when she was 17 years old, Lavigne enjoyed success the music scene with her debut album Let Go. Since her professional debut, she has become one of the most popular artists in the world, selling more then 30 million albums. One of the most successful songs in this album is named Complicated which peaked at No. 1 in many countries around the world. I listened to this song by chance at the birthday party of a friend and it suddenly made me feel relaxed. Since then I began to love listening to her music.

My favorite thing from childhood is a doll bear. I’ve had it since my fourth birthday. My father gave it to me.
I like the doll bear so much because it was so cute and I thought it was my baby at that time, so I needed to take good care of it, just the same as my parents did to me. It’s special to me because I couldn’t fall asleep without it and I would talk to it when I felt sad or joyful(快乐的,高兴的). I think it was more than a doll but a friend who can share my sorrow(悲伤) and happiness.
My doll bear has given me many memories. I remember when I quarreled with a friend of mine and I was heart-broken(心碎的,伤心的) at that time. Then I returned home and talked to my doll bear until I cried myself to sleep at last. When I woke up, I felt much better and my friend and I made it up three days later. It was a good listener who can bring back my childhood memories.
