Difficult points 能够学习中西方的重要节日及风俗习惯,了解中西方文化的差异,正确看待外来文化并弘扬民族文化。 教学重难点 教学设计 Step 1 Review 1.Greet students. Give students some time to talk about their favorite festivals in our country. 2.Ask some students to answer the question: What is your favorite festival?(老师解释festival的意思) Then let students say their favorite foreign festivals. 3.Show some famous festivals on the screen and let students try to remember them and then show the videos about the famous festivals one by one quickly and let students say it in English. Step 2 Presentation 1.Show the picture of the Spring Festival on the screen and let students talk about the picture by themselves. 2.Let students read the short passage about the Spring Festival and try to the guess the meaning of the new words by themselves. 3.Point out the new words and teach them for several times. Then play the tape and let students read after the tape. 4.Let some students retell the festival in their own words.(老师可采用相同的方式教授以下图片内容)

5.Show the important sentences on the screen and ask students to remember them by themselves. Step 3 Consolidation 1.Play the tape of 1a and show the food and festivals on PPT. Then ask students to finish 1b. 2.Give students 2 mins to work in groups and discuss what people do to celebrate the festivals. Each group can choose one to discuss. Then show their favorite festivals in class. Step 4 Practice 1.Ask students to read the passage and prepare for listening. 2.Play the tape and let students circle the festivals. Then listen again and fill in the blanks. Finally check the answers. 3.Let students point out the key points in passage 1, e.g. Many people believe Christ....Then play the tape again and let students read after the tape together.(老师采用相同的方法教授以下图片内容) 4.Show the words in 3 on the screen and let students try to read the words by themselves. Play the tape and let students read the words together, paying attention to the pronunciations of the blue parts. 作业Review the words and key sentences in Section A; Copy the words and key sentences for three times; Topic 3 Let’s celebrate! It is on December 25 th. 能够运用有关祝愿与祝贺、庆祝节日的表达方法进行交流,如: — Merry Christmas! — Merry Christmas! / The same to you. 教学重难点 1.能够正确使用一般现在时描述经常的或习惯性的动作和状态; 2.能够运用有关祝愿与祝贺、庆祝节日的表达方法进行交流。 教学设计 Step 1 Review 1..Greet students. Show some pictures of the festivals on the screen. Then let boy students say the names of the festivals one by one, and girl students say how to celebrate the festivals. 2.Show the pictures of the festivals on the screen again and review them together. 3.Play the tape and let students listen to the song — Jingle Bells. Then play the song again and let students sing the song together. Step 2 Presentation 1.Show the three pictures one by one on the screen and let students talk about the pictures by themselves. Then choose some students to talk about the pictures. 2.Give students some time to read the passage by themselves and point out the new words and important sentences. 3.Let students guess the meanings of the new words according the passage first. 4.Play the tape and let students read after the tape carefully. Help students summarize the activities in Christmas. Step 3 Consolidation 1.Show the table of 1b on the screen and let students check the activities people do during Christmas time. Choose some students to check the answers in class. 2.Point out the questions: What do people do before Christmas? What do people do on 3
Christmas Eve? What do people do on Christmas Day? Then let students answer the questions orally. 3.Give students some time and retell the detail of Christmas by themselves. Then choose some students to do it. Step 4 Practice 1.Look at the pictures in 2 by themselves and talk about the objects. 2.Play the tape. Let students listen to the passage and choose the pictures in their books. 3.Let students check their answers in pairs and choose two pairs to check the answers. 4.Play the tape again and let students complete the sentences by themselves. Copy 1a; 作业Retell the detail of Christmas orally; Preview the words and passage in Section C. Topic 3 Let’s celebrate!
