Minnesota Food Association (MFA) invites you to become volunteers. We have plenty of volunteer opportunities available. Please CLICK HERE to show your willingness to help us out by volunteering in one or more of the areas described below.
Youth & Family Program Volunteer
6 to 8 volunteers are needed on Saturdays, from 9am to 12pm. Teach elementary-school aged kids and families about agriculture through fun, hands-on activities on the farm. This is a new program at MFA this season, and we are very excited about it. Volunteers must enjoy working with children, be able to follow a lesson plan, and not be afraid of animals or getting dirty. Training will be provided. This is a Saturday morning position, and we request volunteering for at least 2 Saturdays per season. All the program takes place on the farm.
Food Access Volunteer
1 to 2 volunteers are needed. The service time is every Thursday evening, from mid-June to the end of October .The volunteer will be responsible for working for the new Healthy Meals in a SNAP! Program. The program provides discounted CSA boxes together with a healthy cooking class through a partnership with Urban Oasis. This opportunity will be located in East St. Paul. You need to work for about one hour
