单元同步语法 一般过去时的运用(Ⅰ)
1.一般过去时的基本定义
一般过去时是表示在过去某一时间发生的动作或存在的状态，也可以表示在过去某一阶段经常、反复做的动作。
2.与一般过去时连用的时间状语有：
yesterday(昨天)，last week/month/year上周/上个月/去年，two days/months ago两天/两个月前，the day before yesterday(前天)，in 2000(在2000年)，in those days(在那些日子里)，just now(刚才)，a moment ago(刚才)等。
3.一般过去时的谓语结构表达
(1)be动词+表语谓语结构。这一结构中be动词需用它的过去式was或were。当句子主语为第一人称代词“I”和第三人称单数形式时用was,其余人称则用were。
(2)一般动词谓语结构。一般过去时的句子谓语如果用到一般动词，主要是实义动词的过去式，则实义动词的过去式无主语人称和数的变化。eg：
Mary’s mother was in England two years ago.
