1定语从句的结构：先行词+ 定语从句

2. 关系词的作用：一方面起连接作用，一方面起指代作用，代替先行词在定语从句中充当句子 成分

3. 关系词的选择

① 先行词表示人： who, whom, that ② 先行词表示物：that，which ③ 先行词作定语： whose ④ 先行词表示地点： where ⑤ 先行词表示时间： when ⑥ 先行词表示原因：why

5.在下列情况下，只用that，而不用which

① 当先行词为all, everything, nothing, something, anything, much , little, few 等不定代词时， All we have to do is to practice every day. ② 当先行词被序数词或形容词最高级所修饰。

The first lesson I learned will never be forgotten. ③ 先行词被the only，the very，the same， the last 修饰。 He is the only person I want to talk to.

④ 先行词既有人又有物时。
