Learning Aids:1. However, your introduction should be brief. Avoid boring the audience with a long recital of the speaker’s biography or with a long series of anecdotes about your acquaintance with him. Usually the better known and more respected a speaker is, the shorter your introduction can be, and the less wellknown the speaker is, the more you will need to do to arouse interest in his subject and build up his prestige.
